We were never taught this
Most of us arrive in our closest relationships completely unprepared. Not because we don't care — but because no one ever showed us how.
Relational intelligence — the ability to connect, communicate, repair, and grow — is one of the most important life skills in existence. And it's almost entirely absent from how we educate and prepare people for adult life.
We believe that's something a community can change.
We teach reading and maths
But not how to listen, repair, or express care in ways that land.
We train people for careers
But not for the relationships that will sustain them through life's hardest moments.
We talk about physical health
But overlook the emotional fitness that determines how we show up for the people we love.
We celebrate individual achievement
But rarely invest in the relational skills that make communities, families, and partnerships thrive.
Relationships aren't just about love
They're about emotional safety. When we feel securely connected, we ask for support more openly, respond with more care, manage conflict with less hostility, and recover from stress faster.
This isn't theory — it's been observed through decades of clinical research and long-term studies. Relationship literacy matters just as much as financial literacy. And it starts with awareness.
Our community exists to spread that awareness — one conversation, one insight, one story at a time.
Pause instead of react
Step back from the heat of the moment and respond from your best self.
Reconnect instead of withdraw
Break the cycle of distance and come back to each other with care.
Build habits of appreciation
Daily rituals of care and gratitude that compound into deep security.
Repair and grow
Every rupture is a chance to build something stronger than before.
From people just like you
Awareness changes everything. Here's what happens when people start learning about relational intelligence.
Reading about attachment theory finally explained why I kept pulling away whenever things got close. It changed how I see myself and my relationships.

Founder, Haven
Built from lived experience
My journey started from a simple but powerful insight: our relationships can be one of the most profound paths to personal growth — and also one of the hardest.
I've had relationships that flourished only to stumble, and I've experienced a divorce that shattered me. As I rebuilt myself, I committed to a lifelong journey of learning about the art of connection.
I had always been drawn to this — mediating conflicts, coaching friends, studying psychology. Life then took me through Business Strategy, Finance, and Technology. Founding Haven feels like a full-circle moment.
But Haven is more than an app. It's the beginning of a movement — a community of people who believe that relational intelligence should be as widely taught and valued as any other life skill.
Imagine a world where everyone has the tools to build strong, lasting connections. That's what we're working towards.
